Part 1

Mondays child is fair of face. Fair of face she was. Oblivious and naive of the mind, almost to the point  of being ridiculous and yet she had bouts of intelligence that would surprise even the genius in the room.  She was born and grew as any normal child would; in a loving house with 2 loving parents and a loving older sister. She attended school and received good grades. She was neither the smartest, prettiest, richest, most popular...needless to say she was not the most "est" of anything.  She was a shy young thing. Struggled to make friends and then held on to that one friend like a worm to dirt. Like a cat hair to a sweater. Like a snowflake to a snowman. That last one sounds nice, lets keep that one...
She held on to that one friend like a snowflake holds on to a snowman. She would be friends with that one friend for years until they either moved away, decided they didn't like her anymore or were just still her friend.  Where was I going with this. Oh, yes, painfully shy.
It's hard to know now looking back and know what you didn't know then. You know? She wanted to "fit in" so badly. So achingly bad.  It's hard to try to be someone you are not and live your life like that.
She wakes up every morning feelin like pdiddy. She's out the door she's gonna hit this city. Wait..
She's a painfully shy young girl yada yada yada - as a young girl her mother tells stories of her dressing herself and being independent. Not taking crap from nurses who try tell her what to do.
But it seems like the older she gets the less independent she becomes. In high school children should start to test their limits, venture out.  Not Miss Fair of Face, she is at home, all of the time. She attemtpted an allnighter once but ended up going home because it was boring and her and her friend were just driving around town wasting gas.  Her first kiss was unromantic and rather forced.  A couple of her "good" friends set her up with their boyfriends  friend and while the 6 of them hung out, the 4 of them made out and left Miss FoF and the other gentleman to stare awkwardly at each other until he grabber her and stuck his tongue down her throat. To which she screamed until someone took her home. Needless to say those friends didn't hang out with her much after that.  While she was honored and deeply flattered that he wanted to stick his tongue in her throat, the experience was not at all what she expected her first kiss to be.

The same still holds true for Miss Fair of Face. She may be in High School but fair of face she continues to be and naive and innocent of the mind as well. Until she's not and then she'll surprise you.
